This morning, a friend and I had a conversation about choices and our determination to either be an energy sucker or one who radiates positivity. Everyone may have down days, but those who choose to make the best of a negative experience and move forward are those who seem to choose happiness.
Life is too short to surround oneself with negative energy. You know those “friends”-the ones who take what you have to give and yet offer little in return. Not physical items necessarily, but emotionally.
To be positive is to choose to be happy, to have the glass half full, to make the best of lemons. When a photo shoot doesn’t go the way I want, there is something to be learned from that. If my children fight, they can be crabby or become better people and friends as a result.
So today, I am visiting Toronto and had an idea for a shoot at Scarborough Bluffs outside the city. I found the location I wanted, but another one actually spoke to me as a result of this morning’s conversation. Funnily enough, Pharrell’s song “Happy” came on the air both as I was driving to the location and back.
